New Venue! Afterschool Sessions 1.

Note our new venue! Still 20th July, still 7 p.m., now at SLAM King’s Cross.

Our first reading unites eight graduates of the UEA Prose Fiction Class of 2015 to read excerpts from new novels and short stories before publication. From bombed-out post-war London, to the culture of cat fanatics, to the nineteenth-century hunt for aborigines in Australia, the stories will uncover the hidden, the strange and the unexpected.

Our special guest reader for the evening is Sharlene Teo, a 2013 graduate of UEA and the inaugural winner of the Deborah Rogers Foundation Award for her novel-in-progress, Ponti about, in the Rogers Foundation’s words, ‘hot, sweaty’ contemporary Singapore.

The first 50 attendees will also receive a free copy of our limited-edition anthology of new writing ‘Afterschool Sessions 1’. So get there early.
